No. InboxWarden only quarantines emails from senders you’ve never communicated with. All your existing contacts, services, and anyone you’ve replied to are automatically trusted. You also receive digest summaries of quarantined messages so nothing slips through.
How is this different from my email’s spam filter?
Your spam filter catches known spam. InboxWarden goes further — it quarantines all unknown senders, including legitimate people you simply haven’t heard from before. You decide who gets through, not an algorithm.
Do I need to change my MX records or DNS?
No. InboxWarden connects through your email provider’s official channels. There are no MX record changes, no DNS configuration, and no email routing modifications. Your email infrastructure stays exactly the same.
Can senders verify themselves?
Yes. When someone emails you for the first time, they can optionally receive a verification link. One click confirms they’re a real person, and their email is delivered to your inbox. Bots and automated spam won’t complete this step.
What happens if I cancel?
Your service continues until the end of your current billing period. After that, quarantine protection is paused and all emails will reach your inbox normally. Your trust rules and settings are preserved if you decide to resubscribe.
Does InboxWarden read my emails?
InboxWarden works mainly from message headers and mailbox state, and it may store short provider-supplied previews so quarantined messages are reviewable. It does not sync full message bodies into InboxWarden, and your mail remains in your provider inbox.
